| May 22, 2008 - Big C, the local cancer charity for Norfolk and Waveney are delighted that they will be opening a new shop in Beccles, their first outside of Norwich. The shop, situated at 14, New Market, is undergoing a complete face-lift before it is ready to open its doors. |

This year the Big C Walk of Thoughts takes place on Sunday 29th June starting from Fritton House Hotel at Fritton Lake on the Somerleyton Estate. This sponsored walk will help raise funds for Big C, the local, independent cancer charity for Norfolk & Waveney.

| May 19, 2008 - This year on July 13th Andrew Atthowe of Lingwood is taking part in Ironman Austria. For anyone that does not know, it involves a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. These are completed one after the other as quickly as possible |

| Reindeer Ale House Supports Big C | |
| May 2, 2008 - On the Reindeer Ale House on Dereham Road held a very successful quiz night and raffle to support Big C, Norfolk & Waveney’s independent cancer charity. The night raised a fantastic £477, which will help fund cancer equipment, care and research in our region. |

| April 29, 2008 - Landlords at the Alby Horseshoes Inn in Erpingham, Margaret & Richard Rushmer, together with customers and friends are always thinking of others and organising events to raise money for Big C, Norfolk and Waveney’s local cancer charity. Several events are held throughout the year including a Vinyl Night – which was an opportunity to take along your much treasured vinyl records and hear them played in all their glory! |

| April 29, 2008 - On Sunday 6th April, on snow covered land near Holt, a Gun Dog Competition was held by Jenny and Keith Willimott to raise funds for Big C, Norfolk & Waveney’s local cancer charity. Keith had previously been diagnosed with cancer and the couple wanted to do something as a thank you for the support they had received from Big C. |

| April 23, 2008 - Big C Walk of Thoughts – Walking Together to Support and Remember
Big C, Norfolk & Waveney’s local independent cancer charity, has once again organised their special ‘Walk of Thoughts’ and is inviting people to join them in walking together to support and remember those affected by cancer. This year’s walk on Sunday 29th June sees an almost entirely new route which circumnavigates Fritton Lake, and takes you through varied countryside.
